Location: Account Functions/Disable or Enable Demo Mode
You can use WebHost Manager's demo mode feature to turn any account into a demo account. A demo account restricts a user's ability to alter files and folders, but still appears to be fully functional. Demo mode is usually used as a sales tool for prospective clients.
Enabling Demo Mode
1. When the page loads, there will be a two-column table consisting of the following information:
Domains
Users
2. Select the domain of the site you want to modify. Or you can select the user associated with the site you want to modify.
3. Once you have made your selection, click on the "Modify" button.
4. Next, click on the "Enable" button.
5. When the page loads, you should see similar output as the following:
Demo mode has been enabled
Changing shell for davisyou.
Warning: "/usr/local/cpanel/bin/demoshell" is not listed in /etc/shells
Shell changed.
demoshell should not be listed in /etc/shells (ok)
for DOMAIN_NAME (USERNAME)
Updating ftp passwords for all users
Ftp password files updated.
Ftp vhost passwords synced
Disabling Demo Mode

3. Once you have made your selection, click on the "Modify" button.
4. Next, click on the "Disable" button.
5. When the page loads, you should see similar output as the following:

for DOMAIN_NAME (USERNAME)
Updating ftp passwords for all users
Ftp password files updated.
Ftp vhost passwords synced
