Skeleton Directory (Need more information on this topic?)

Location: Account Functions/Skeleton Directory

What is a Skeleton Directory? The Skeleton Directory is the directory template used to create all new accounts. Any files placed in the skeleton directory are automatically copied into new accounts. For example, if you place an index.html file in the /public_html/ folder of your skeleton directory, all new accounts will automatically include that file in their /public_html/ folder.

1. When the page loads, you will see the path of where your skeleton directory is located. It will look similar to the following:

/home/USERNAME/cpanel3-skel

2. Place an index file of your choice in the skeleton directory to be used when new accounts are created.
