Location: Backup/Configuration File Rollback
cPanel and WHM automatically saves a backup version of the following three files whenever they are changed:
httpd.conf
named.conf
proftpd.conf
You can revert to any of the previously saved versions whenever required. The restored version becomes the latest version and does not delete other versions.
1. When the page loads, there will be several buttons available to you. Each button contains the path and file name of the backup file you want to use. Click on the button containing the path and file name you want to use for a rollback.
2. Next, the path and file name will appear at the top of the page. Verify the path is correct. If the path is not correct, go back to the Configuration File Rollback page and select the correct button.
3. Assuming the backup file is correct, as described in Step 2 above, scroll to the bottom of the page. There are two text boxes available:
Revision - You can use the left arrow "<" or the right arrow ">" to move between versions of all the saved files associated with the path and file name you selected in Step 1 above.
Date - As you move between revisions using the arrows described above, the date will automatically change.
4. Once you have selected the backup file you want to use to rollback, click on the "Restore" button.
5. You should see a confirmation statement similar to the following:
"/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf has been restored to revision current"
