Location: DNS Functions/Edit MX Entry
What is an MX Entry? WebHost Manager enables you to alter MX (Mail Exchange Record) Entries at any time. By altering an MX Entry you can point the email for a particular domain to another mail server, if required.
WARNING: Do not edit a DNS zone unless you know what you are doing.
1. When the page loads, select the domain name associated with the MX ENtry you want to edit from the list on the far right. You will see the domain name appear in the "Choose an MX Entry to Edit" text box on the far left of the page.
2. Click on the "Edit" button.
3. When the page loads, you will see a three-column table consisting of the following information:
Priority - Enter a 0-10 value to determine the priority number of the email being sent to the domain you choose for the "MX Destination" below. A value of "10" indicates the highest priority.
MX Destination - Enter the domain name you want you mail to be sent to for this particular user.
Actions - You can delete this MX Entry at any time by clicking on the "Delete" link.
4. You can add additional MX Entries by clicking on the "Add Another MX Entry Field" link.
Note: By default, the page will indicate two MX Entries, the second entry will be left blank.
5. Once you have finished modifying/adding/deleting your MX Entries, click on the "Save" button.
