What is PureFTPd? According to the PureFTPd website, Pure-FTPd is a free (BSD), secure, production-quality and standard-conformant FTP server. It doesn't provide useless bells and whistles, but focuses on efficiency and ease of use. It provides simple answers to common needs, plus unique useful features for personal users as well as hosting providers. The "FTP Server (ProFTPd/PureFTPd)" feature allows you to restart the FTP Server.

 

1. When the page loads, you will see the following question:

 

"Are you sure you wish to restart this service?"

 

2. Click on the "Yes" button to restart the FTP Server service.

 

3. The next screen will state the "ftpserver status" and the specific script that was run. The following is an example of restarting the FTP Server:
