Location: Server Contacts/Contact Manager
What is the Contact Manager? The contact manager allows you to specify which types of alerts are sent to you. It also allows you to choose how they are delivered. You should assign each contact method a priority. If you assign a 1, that contact will only receive alerts with a priority of 1. If you assign a 2, that contact will receive alerts with priority of 2 or better (1,2). If you assign a 3, that contact will receive alerts with a priority of 3 or better (1,2,3).
The first section listed is the "Alert Type Assignment" list. The following will be displayed:
AIM
ICQ
Pager
The above communication clients are configured and setup in the Basic cPanel/WHM Setup document. Please review to that document before moving forward with the Contact Manager.
The second section listed is the "Alert Priority Assignment" list. The following will be displayed:
Account Creation
Account Removal
Account Suspensions
Account UnSuspensions
Account Upgrades/Downgrades
Apache Max Clients Check
Disk Integrity Check
Ip Address Dns Check
Kernel Crash Check
Kernel Version Check
Notification of new Addon Domains
Recently Uploaded Cgi Script Mail
Trojan Horse/File Modification Check
Go through each of the Alerts listed above and assign a priority number using 1, 2, or 3. Once you have completed assigning a priority to each Alert, assign each one of the communication clients in the "Alert Type Assignment" section using a 1, 2, or 3. For example, if you want all Alerts with a priority of "1" to be sent to your AIM, enter "1" in the AIM text box. If you entered "1" in the "Account Removal" Alert, every time an account has been removed from your server, you will be alerted via your AIM communication client.
Note: Icons will highlight or grey out to show which contact menthods will be used in a given event based on your settings.
